DaylytixAI Chat answers questions about your sites from your own data: the audit, Search Console, Rank Tracker, AI visibility, keywords and the rest of Daylytix. It runs on your own AI key, and it shows each step it takes, so you can see where every answer comes from.
Which AI it uses
With an Anthropic key saved in App Settings → AI Integrations, AI Chat runs on Claude. Without one it uses Google Gemini, the model chosen in your settings. The line under the chat says which one answers. See Setting up your AI key.
Agent mode
Agent mode is on by default when you have a key. AI Chat then fetches real data with tools instead of guessing, and each step shows above the answer, for example Reading the audit or Reading Rank Tracker. Switch Agent off for a quick answer from the attached audit only.
Attach an audit to the conversation with the Audit context picker. AI Chat can also open your other audits, so you can ask it to compare two sites or two dates.

It says where each number comes from and how recent it is, and when the data is not there it tells you which tool would provide it instead of estimating.
Lookups that cost money
Some answers need fresh data from your DataForSEO account: keyword volumes, the keywords a domain ranks for, backlinks, keyword ideas, topic research and the real query fan-out. AI Chat never runs these on its own. It shows a card with what the lookup does and its price, usually one or two cents, with Run it and Skip. After Run it the lookup runs and the answer continues with the data.
Saving something to the project memory works the same way: AI Chat proposes it, and it is saved only when you click Save.
From chat to article
Ask AI Chat for an article and it prepares a brief from the conversation: the topic, keywords, audience and the questions and gaps you found together. A Write this article in Content Writer button then opens the Content Writer with everything filled in and starts writing there, where the article is researched, saved and published. AI Chat does not write full articles in the chat itself.
Good to know
- Text that comes from websites and data sources is treated as data, never as instructions.
- In a long conversation AI Chat reads the recent messages. Start a new conversation for a new topic.
- Each answer is billed by your AI provider; a few cents is typical, more for long tool-heavy answers.
