Daylytix has an MCP server, so AI assistants can read your Daylytix data and answer questions about it. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor use to connect to outside tools. Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT connect with your Daylytix sign-in; Claude Code, Cursor and other tools use an API key. Access is read-only, limited to your own account, and included in every plan.
What the assistant can read
- Your audits: the list, each audit’s score and summary, its findings by section and severity, and the full data of any section.
- Project memory for each site: business, audience, goals, positioning, writing style and key pages. See Project memory.
- The latest Prompt Tracker run: visibility per prompt, your most cited pages and the domains AI answers cite. See Prompt Tracker.
- Your saved keywords from Keyword Research, with their tags.
The assistant cannot change anything, start audits or see another account’s data. A good first question is “List my Daylytix audits.” Very large sections are shortened, so ask about one section at a time rather than a whole audit.
Where to find API & MCP
Everything below happens in the API & MCP panel. Open it from the API & MCP row in the sidebar (below the tool groups), from App Settings → AI Integrations → Open API & MCP, or with Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) and API & MCP.
Claude.ai and Claude Desktop
- In API & MCP, click Copy next to the address
https://app.daylytix.com/mcp. - In Claude, open Connectors (in Settings or Customize) and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the address, add the connector, then click Connect.
- A Daylytix window opens. Sign in if asked, check the account under Signed in as and click Allow.
You go back to Claude, and the connector can now read your Daylytix data. There is no key to copy or store.
ChatGPT
- Copy the same address,
https://app.daylytix.com/mcp. - In ChatGPT, open Plugins and choose Add custom MCP.
- Paste the address and choose OAuth as the sign-in method.
- Sign in with your Daylytix account and click Allow.
Whether you can add custom connectors depends on your Claude or ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.
Claude Code, Cursor and other tools (API key)
- In API & MCP, under Claude Code, Cursor and other tools, type a Key name, for example Claude Code on my laptop.
- Click + Create key and copy the key straight away. It is shown only once.
- Paste the ready-made command shown below the key. It already contains your key.
For Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http daylytix https://app.daylytix.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
For Cursor, in .cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"daylytix": {
"url": "https://app.daylytix.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"
}
}
}
}
Other MCP clients work the same way: the address above, with the key in an Authorization: Bearer header. These Daylytix keys start with dlx_. They are not the Gemini, Anthropic or OpenAI keys from Your AI key.
Disconnecting apps and revoking keys
| List | What you see and do |
|---|---|
| Connected apps | Each app you signed in from, where it returns to, when it was connected and last active. Disconnect removes its access at once; you can connect it again later. |
| Your keys | Each key’s name, its last 8 characters, access, and when it was created and last used. Revoke stops the key for good. |
A signed-in app stays connected while you use it. If it is not used for 60 days, connect it again.
Plans and the free trial
MCP works on every plan, the 7-day free trial included. When a trial ends without a plan, connected apps and keys stop working until you choose one. The REST API for your own tools and dashboards is part of the Enterprise plan; see Pricing.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| The assistant finds no audits | It reads only the account it signed in with. Check the email under Signed in as on the Allow page, or use Use another account. Run an audit first if the account has none. |
| Claude Code or Cursor is refused | Check that the whole key was pasted after Bearer and that it is not revoked in Your keys. A lost key cannot be shown again: create a new one. |
| The connection stopped working | The app may have been disconnected, unused for 60 days, or the trial may have ended. Connect it again from your AI app. |
| No Prompt Tracker data | The assistant reads the latest saved run. Run the Prompt Tracker once in Daylytix. |
