Two tools read Google’s data with a key of your own: the YouTube tab of AI Visibility and Google Natural Language in Page Semantics. Each account uses its own key and quota. Google bills you directly if it bills at all, and Daylytix adds nothing on top.
Creating the key
- Open the Google Cloud Console and pick a project, or create one.
- Go to APIs & Services → Library. Turn on YouTube Data API v3, Cloud Natural Language API, or both.
- Go to APIs & Services → Credentials and create an API key. It is a good idea to limit the key to these two APIs.
- In Daylytix, open App Settings → Google Services, paste it under Google Cloud API Key and click Save Settings.
This key is separate from your PageSpeed and CrUX keys. You can use one Google key for all of them if each API is on for it, but you still paste it here.
What it costs
| API | Free limit | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube Data API v3 | 100 searches a day by default, on Google’s quota page in November 2026. | Not billed. You can ask Google for more. |
| Cloud Natural Language API | A monthly allowance. See Google’s pricing page. | Google asks for billing on the project. |
Troubleshooting
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| This needs a Google Cloud API key | Save a key in App Settings → Google Services. |
| YouTube Data API is off for this key, or Cloud Natural Language API is off for this key | Turn on that API in the same project as the key. It can take a few minutes to work. |
| This key has used up its quota for now | The YouTube limit starts again the next day. Try later. |
| Google says this API key is not valid | Copy the key again from the Credentials page. |
